California Funding Applications – Unprecedented Demand
The California Employment Training Panel Program (“ETP”) has announced its plans for the new fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010. This plan, which is dependent on passage by the California Legislature of the state budget with ETP’s funding intact, is underway with ETP staff now moving forward with applications submitted as far back as last fall. These funding applications will be reviewed at ETP Panel meetings during September and October in Sacramento. Subsequent funding meetings are scheduled for November and December.
New applications, not already in the ETP pipeline, will be accepted once the state budget has been approved. It is anticipated that these applications will be heard by the ETP Panel late this year and continuing into 2011. Due to the large backlog of funding applications already in the pipeline and the unprecedented demand by employers for ETP funding, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately so that relatively simple but important initial filings can be made to ensure your Company’s most favorable treatment in upcoming funding meetings. It is essential that your Company get in the queue as early as possible.
