TFP Facilitates $10+ Million In Special Federal Funding Applications For TFP Clients
TFP has assisted a number of its clients by developing application information for special Department of Labor “H-1B” Technical Skills Training Grants Program funding during the second round of application submissions that closes November 17, 2011. This grant program is designed to provide education, training, and job placement assistance in the occupations and industries for which employers are using H-1B visas to hire skilled foreign workers, and the related activities necessary to support such training.
This grant program is intended to raise the technical skill levels of American workers so they can obtain or upgrade employment in high-growth industries and occupations. It focuses on assistance with incumbent workers, new hires, and dislocated and unemployed workers.
The DOL will announce those applications it selects for funding during the April/May 2012 timeframe. In addition to its application development services, TFP will provide post-approval administration and consulting services for its clients over a performance period of up to 48 months following approval.
$3.6 Million In New Funding For TFP Clients
TFP is pleased to announce that it has secured training reimbursement funding for a number of new and many of its continuing clients during the four months ended June 30, 2011. These awards will help TFP’s clients provide important job skills training to several thousand of their new and incumbent employees across the U.S. The training encompasses employees in the healthcare, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, financial and business services industries.
Training costs to be reimbursed include self-paced eLearning, traditional classroom, laboratory, interactive distance learning and on-the-job instruction. TFP’s clients will be delivering this training using their own training instructors, subject matter experts, vendors, or colleges.
TFP is working with a number of its clients to deliver training reimbursement funding in multiple states and programs around the country.
$2.2 Million Approved For TFP Clients
Several existing and new clients of TFP were awarded training reimbursement contracts aggregating $2.2 million during the five months ended January 2011. These awards will help TFP’s clients provide important job skills training to several thousand of their new and incumbent employees across the U.S. The training encompasses employees in the manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, financial services, energy and business services industries.
Training costs to be reimbursed include self-paced CBT, traditional classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job instruction. TFP’s clients will be delivering this training using their own training instructors, subject matter experts, vendors, or colleges.
TFP is working with a number of its clients to deliver training in multiple states and programs around the country.
